The Season

Tighten those strings
Pawn those rings
Times are tight
A real financial fight

What will I do, how will I survive
Yeah I'm blue, but I'm alive
I've made it before
I'll get through this door

As Christmas approaches
I can't even afford spray for the roaches
But God does truly bless
I know that mired in my own little mess

I have to remember the season
I have to remember the reason
And as I remember this as I write
All else becomes so trite

It always saddens me that people feel a need to spend at this time of year..I am sure a loving God would not expect any to penury themselves for a celebration of the birth of his son....great write xx
