The Seashore

The seashore lets through cracks of light
And is the cradle of a bird in endless flight
Loss to the bounds of sea and sky
Plummeting and barreling through invisible doors
Hoping to always reach a higher epiphany of being
The seashore is the entrance way to all of this and more
As I stand with my feet in the sand
And beckon the gods to show me all that they are
The shells made of infinitesimally tiny glittering particles
Open up their eyes and open their souls
Asking me to trace their loving back into the beginning of time

Beautifully written with great expression and wonderful imagery this took me back to the shores of my youth when I used to lie in the sand and dream. Great job and a big seven from me. God Bless, JB

Yea we just call it the beach as well, but I tend to use some traditional poetic language ;)

Ooops, I guess I was a little off there. :) I'm originally from the U.S. east coast and there it is "The Seashore" or "The Shore", but every where else I have been it is either 'The Coast" or "The Beach" Though, I've never been to NZ.
