The Search For Silence
No matter what,
it's never enough.
I’m never enough.
It’s too much, it’s a lot.
I’m caught, caught between what I want,
and what achievements others expect.
Caught between what I deserve,
and the treatment I receive.
No matter where I am or who I talk to,
they always need to criticise.
Their opinions are always voiced as "advice”,
sometimes I’m afraid their words may be true.
I want to be free of judgement,
and free to do as I please.
I’d like to wear makeup or any sort of garments,
without the buzz of the fleas.
I wish I could just smack everyone away.
I’d be happier without the chatters and buzz.
The time doesn't matter, night or day,
I just want to be able to do what I want without a fuss.
