The Search and the Task
The lonely quest for perpetual light,
The lonely journey away from the encroaching night,
The diligent search for a blooming meadow,
A place free from shadow.
The mind is a maze;
Some thoughts are hard to erase.
Sometimes it’s a turbulent sea within,
Encroaching upon what reaches out from without.
The lonely search for truth,
A pathway to the fountain of youth,
A guide to fields of flowers—
Truth brings forth the showers.
The mind is a vast field;
Its expanse aids in its yield.
There are always guests standing at its door;
It welcomes them in and seeks more.
