The Search
I have a burden
The biggest burden known
To man
No, you cannot see it
You cannot feel it
Though I carry it about
Like a wrecking ball attached
To a croaking crane
Somebody, please help me
Somebody... Anybody Why do you stare at me?
Why the look askance? You say: "Show us your burden" I cannot! I am sorry
I am not permitted to do so
You have to search it out for yourselves
If only you would look less
Then you would see it. No one? Not a single soul?
Then, in double sorrow do I depart
Like a hunchback with his unholy burden
To the next town I go
Hoping to find an answer to this riddle.
