The Sea
The long thin horizon changes colors,
when day moves through time
There between light and dark,
among waves where silence dwells,
the moving sea welcomes me
Could I describe the indescribable?
Her vastness, where senses become lost,
as mystery enters with each dark shadow,
that moves beneath the surface
The welcome scenes where birds cry out
in laughter
Where rainbows bend across her horizon,
inviting the soul to wonder
The coolness of the wet sand under my feet,
as though lifting me to glide across the softest plane
This is beautiful, peaceful and quiet
Allowing the mind to empty and break free
The undulation of each current welling up
to lay at my feet, leaving the feeling of eternity
that I may only visit
This sea, where thoughts become untied
and the spirit yearns to absorb strength
from its ebb and flow
To stay and cross into twilight where stars beckon
leaving trails upon the sky, as though a match was struck
To reveal a secret woven by moonlight
dripping upon the surface of the sea
like a crown of crusted jewels
welcoming this lonely traveler
a mere shadow passing through time,
while the sea remains
contest..The Most Beautiful
