The Sea
Rowing in the wooden dingy,
My arms recall
The lost days
Of ocean voyages,
And all at once I remember
The emerald green
Phosphorescence
On night watch....
And the midnight sound
Of dolphins breath
Those princes of the sea
Who were enamoured
With our wake....
Heaven!
A salty world of endless horizon
A million shooting stars
Defining a possibility of their worlds,
Victorious were we
Gliding along
Visitors on an incandescent world
Atop the throne of mermaids from days gone by
