The Scales of Love

The scales of love She is my alpha and my omega The one I think of when I close my eyes. The one whose face is burnt upon my retina. Whose dark sensuous eyes. I must avoid. As one look would turn me to stone. I wish I did not think about her so. Her laugh, makes me jealous if I'm not there. Her sensuous smile smothers me in honey. I cannot see her parts Without wanting her whole. For her, I would move mountains. Die forlorn on some foreign field, and Present to her my still beating heart. I would crown her with diamonds and pearls And make her my queen for eternity. Yet she avoids my gaze, giggling. Talking endlessly of triviality Looking slyly sideways at me. As if I am some mild Curiosity, like another new pair of shoes
