The Saviour of Sinners -1 Timothy 1:15

There is a saying worthy to tell
Into this world Christ Jesus came
To save sinners He did come
All glory indeed to His name

This Jesus became sinners substitute
Taking on Himself all of their sin
Paying the price the perfect sacrifice
God put on Jesus every sin He did pin

For God gave to Christ a people
Chosen before eternity past as His own
So He would ransom them for Himself
For Jesus love gave Himself to atone

Such is the perfect love of God
For no depth He’ll not go through
To take His elect eternally to heaven
Everyone of them Gentile and Jew

So to this saviour of sinners
We bow in humble adoration
For giving us the greatest gift
Receiving such great salvation

('The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. ') (1 Timothy 1: 15) ESV
