The Sandwich Song

Somebody made me a sandwich
A sandwich, a sandwich
Somebody made me a sandwich
I ate it in twenty-five seconds.

I nearly choked on a sandwich
A sandwich, a sandwich
I nearly choked on a sandwich
Cuz I ate in in twenty-five seconds.

I was nearly killed by a sandwich
A sandwich, a sandwich
I was nearly killed by a sandwich
When I ate it in twenty-five seconds.

I imagine you are too young to have heard of Mama Cass, but please look up her death. You will know then why this is the first thing I thought of immediately! I had not though of that in a long long time. Thanks for stirring my memory banks.

I'm old, old, old; remember Cass Elliot well. She died of a heart attack at 32, though a cruel rumor similar to those that are today a dime a dozen thanks to the internet, said variously that she choked on a ham sandwich, had a drug overdose, bled out giving premature birth to John Lennon's child, suicided, or was assassinated by the FBI. The ham sandwich story lasted longest. Ironically when she died she hadn't had much at all to eat, the autopsy showed.
