The Sands of My Heart

If I built you a castle out of sand

Would you know each grain is a piece of my heart

It will never crumble, or fall apart

Created by love, forever it will stand.

The winds of time will never blow it down

Protected by my soul, you are safe inside

Even the tides of life shall be denied

True love braves the wind, and storms all around.

Will you come live in this castle I’ve built?

Surround yourself in the walls of my soul

Each speck of my heart wants to make you whole

Step inside my life, without fear or guilt.

This castle is nothing without you dear

Its walls cannot stand and will disappear
