The Sanctuary of Love
I no longer need silence....
but love,
its warmth I feel ----
Yet I shiver like a child un-cared,
until I am in the centre of its outstretched arms,
where no cold may enter,
And no evil may deny me its splendid sanctuary
In mother's grasp I take joy
and in God's arms resides assurance
that my loneliness has passed
to a desolate place ----
and to this place I no longer go
for the chill has warmed
(And now even the silence speaks of hope all the day long)
