The Same Perfume As You

They said my leg must be hollow
The way I poured back the beers
I felt no use for living
And I hadn't for years

So I filled my empty with bourbon
Which left no room for the truth
Till along came a woman
Who wore the same perfume as you

It's like a reminder
That lingers light in the air
You had all that I want
It's like you're standing right there

Sometimes I feel broken
I guess that's just an excuse
It's not fair to compare
Your body and hair
But she wears the same perfume as you

It's like they bottled up heaven
To bring me back to hell
I can't help my senses
Have me under this spell

What slipped through my fingers
Is what no man would choose
But I found your replacement
Who wears the same perfume as you

It's like a reminder
That lingers light in the air
You had all that I want
It's like you're standing right there

Sometimes I feel broken
I guess that's just an excuse
It's not fair to compare
Your body and hair
But she wears the same perfume as you

So let my confession tell
Nobody wears it as well
The same perfume as you
