The Sage

One sunny afternoon, there was
this wind whisperer gliding across the board, where
in the middle of it, he chanced upon a lad
sitting, in silent gaze, amongst
the brightest faces of the world.

The wind whisperer spoke to himself
and said: “Ah, what a pity! Why slave
yourself spending
your youth before them? No one will
ever notice your presence. Soon, you’ll be gone!”

Oh, little did this wind whisperer realize
that this lad was, obviously, still here to remain
for that lad is the sage whisperer of tomorrow;
…and, no matter how they tried to be one,
they’ll not exceed that lad of yesterday!
