The Sad Girl Walks

The Sad Girl Walks

Walking through the cemetery
Her eyes stare blankly ahead
A veil of silk covers her face
Hiding her pale white skin
Her mouth is locked in a frown
There is nothing in her world to make her smile
She tries to talk but she has no voice
Not that anyone would listen to her
It is still easy to see what she feels
The pain that she had suffered
Tears have stained her dress
How long has she been crying?
Has anyone ever told her that she’d be okay?
That life has moments of pleasure
Who is this girl who walks among the dead?
What secrets do her mute lips hide?
She is all alone
Condemned to walk without a life
Just a sad girl in a sad world
Walking among the dead
Hoping that she will find a life
A life that will probably never come

Such a sad but beautiful poem, she maybe alone Rob but it is up to her to find those moments of pleasure. We all make our own happiness or our own hell ! Thank you for the stories you paint in poetry they are always filled with such deep feeling!Love Lizzie
