The Roses In the Crumble

I had run out of all the chocolate Felt bore and wanted a pomegranate Looked for in the fridge but didn't get Further darkened the gray climate Went out just for a little fresh air Met the swinging braid of hair A lot of stories woven there The merrily moving black mare I met her after a long time A creeper in the swift climb Ding-a-ling sounds of the wind chime Though a little past her prime Love sees neither season nor clime In new blossoms shines the time Sweeter tastes the mulled wine The passion makes the blue sunshine The tapped doors first hesitate Once overcome opens the floodgate Tall arose the purple spate Time held in a churning wait Both needed to unbridle The pent up cascades a little A lot of roses in the crumble The moon arose from the parting cuddle _________________________________ February 22, 2018 Love Poem-Rhyme Only - Poetry Contest Sponsored by : Laura Loo
