The Rose Second Edition

The morning Dew had spent the night in tears and doubled low But as the sun arose amidst the lofty plains, His tears caressed the Rose. So sweet the perfume contained within the pretty head of petals Undisturbed other than by the Dew, In innocence born, and to dust to return, When the day is done and the Summer is spent. Dusk now hangs in the sky and paints the evening theme Earth-like sleeping beauty in a dream Until the Dew has shed his tears again Will sleeping Earth awake and join the song and the sweet Rose’s perfume is borne on the wind. -Naomi Rainbow-
