The Rose and the Cactus
The splattered sun
A sacrificing nun
The splashing colours
Emitting the sunset odours
The melting yellow blue and gray
The stories of the spent golden hay
On the embroidered gray tray
The stars in a bouquet
The fairies of the moonlight
In the quiet footsteps they alight
Calling in the gurgle of the stream
In the wish fulfilling dream
The dark night starts
Painting with the first light
The deep orange arts
In the silken delight
The birds wake us
With their dawn chorus
In the colourful east
For the eyes a feast
The orange pink and blue
A thousand tales of hue
The life calls us
In the rose and the cactus
