The Rose
Among so many flowers in the garden
My attention is focused on the rose
Early morning enveloped with dew
It casts a majestic look over its neighbours
Contributing towards the enhancement of the environment
With its soft, velvety petals and sparkling hue
The rose is considered as the queen of flowers
Throughout history it has maintained its value
It spreads its fragrance far away
Producing a special aroma soothing the mind.
The plant requires utmost care and attention
Only constant nurturing will make the flower blossom
Lo!Why are those bees encircling the rose?
Of course, they need the pollen to give us honey
Being the universal symbol of love
It conveys amorous messages on St Valentine's day
Looking delicate and gorgeous
It is a real feast for the eyes
Offer the woman a magnificent red rose
For it has the magic to win her heart
But take care when plucking the flower
Because there is no rose without thorn
