The Rocky Mountain
The rocky mountain,
After a day long search, silently I sit down sweating
Holding all the letters and CV’s I have been writing
All the interviews I attended they told me “Keep waiting”
With all the encounters of the day I watch the beautiful sun setting
Giving me hope, tomorrow, another new dawn will be breaking
But I know, climbing this rocky mountain is wanting
After writing hundreds of letters my hand has turned blue
False hopes I get, from those with something to do
They say, experience, networking and who you know is what rules
All this after seventeen years in different of schools
But loosing hope, giving up and getting tired is what I can’t do
But I have known, climbing this rocky mountain is wanting
This mountain of employment is huge and challenging but many conquers
Step by step, slow but sure wake up and start, but know time moves
In this job searching and hunting intelligent counts
Here Patience, creativity and hard work all pays
Since you got something in your brain, put it into use
But I know, climbing this rocky mountain is wanting
You will get to the top if you keep moving
You will achieve it all if you keep trying
But you will loose everything if you keep idling
Learned and unlearned, there is something for those trying
Every new day, rising sun gives you a chance to keep trying
But I know, climbing this rocky mountain is wanting
