The Road to Reality

Down the road
The long dark road
Heavy with trees on either side
Filled with the unknown sound of reality
Deep in thought
Never really paying much mind to the world around
I know there is things lurking within the trees
Things of the unrecognized
As I continue walking down the road
I start to feel lighter
As if things are becoming brighter
The sounds of the unknown start to dissipate
And when I make it to the end of the road
I soon realize, this wasn't a road at all
Its was nothing less than a high school hallway
And me getting lighter and sounds going silent
I realized that was just me leaving school
Leaving for good
For once things might be quite
But what you think isn't always right
And once I stepped out
Things only got darker
And soon nothing was ever quite
again
