The Road That Never Should Have Been Taken
Two friends had emerged as fellows would, And shook swore they ought not under oath Be they two travelers, long time stood They both looked at one pass par as good The other went next to an outgrowth And he took the one, twas just as near, Yet trolling unwraps a likely stain, As he was darkened amidst despair He hoped and prayed his blessings is there Not torn in shame but in truth remain That two shared talking about that day Reprieve steps taken accused of lack So he held faith for another day Still knowing all this from day to day He know he will never stab his back He'll face him and say, free for eyes see In future time as his mind digest Two souls emerged but one stood, twas he He while one less friend, and lethal be His absence made him like Icarus.
