The Road
There's a place I know. Far enough away to feel like an escape, but close enough to be familiar. Its quiet there. Standing in The Road, listening to the breeze and the distance sounds of crickets and frogs, a single light down the way to let you know you're safe, You can be yourself here, Run-on sentences and all.
If you stand very still, you can almost get lost in it. But the feeling of the pavement beneath your feet let's you know its okay, you're grounded. You're learning to feel again, learning to just... Be. Beginning to let go of that thing inside you, That madness that's swallowing you whole. It's scary to give in... But listen... Feel the ground... You're here.
You're safe.
Everything you have gone through, Every moment that made you feel hopeless, Every moment that made you lose faith in something bigger than yourself...
It all brought you here. To the sounds of this moment. To the pavement beneath your feet.
To the feeling of Becoming...
It's okay to let it out. To feel trust again. To shed that inner cynic inside you and let yourself be vulnerable and alive to the moment...
Here you Stand. See and be Present. It's all ahead of You...
Just down The Road.
