The River Runs Red
THE RIVER RUNS RED
It's all coming back to me
There’s is no turning back for me
Yes I did it; I did the unthinkable
Now that it is hunting me; it's not solvable
I should have listened; should have seen this coming
Now, I'm stuck and don't know if I should be running
Oh! I'm finished, there's no hiding place for me
I'm so deep in this mess of mine; there's no help for me
I should have left the Pandora's box closed; how foolish I was
Now, I'm thinking right but can't restore it back to how it was
I desecrated the very clean water of life running in my life
Now, it's all soiled and dirty; should I be running for my life?
Should I stay behind and flush this very of mine?
Oh no! What a mess! I have lost all the gold in my mine
It was but no longer as it is; I'm clean no more
Who will I confide in now? I have friends no more
My loss, my pain, I will have to find a new path
The river has run red; I will have to follow the dark path
I can't be saved; I'm dammed and far beyond redemption
Now, with blood flowing down the dam; hell is my place of reception.
