The River

I have a river in my eyes, it forces me to be strong cause the river doesn't want to flow
The river doesn't want to show weakness. The river just wants to forget.
The river stays still for happiness.
The river thinks that it knows best.
It doesn't want tears to ever fall or stain her cheek.
But the river is naive. There's nothing in this world that can prevent pain.
There ain't a dam strong enough to hold back waters forces.
So occasionally no matter how hard the river tries
                                        tears trickle down her eyes.
                                                She cries.
