The River
I came across a small babbling creek
Feeling the wet sand beneath my feet
It's blue mirrored the sky
Calm and serene as if flowed by
Pristine, crystal clear to the eye
Unseen flow as it passes by
Rocks and stones rounded out
As it heads towards the river's mouth
Over time it finds it's natural course
Little rivulets rush without much force
Eventually all becomes one focal stream
Flowing to the ocean calm and serene
It blends it's waves with the sea
In turmoil they cannot agree
The waves come crashing into shore
A cauldron of undertow pulling more
It reached with tidal force
Pulling the river to it's natural course.
