The River
The River
Floating with the passion of ease,
We follow the river hoping to find peace.
For we know fighting the current, we'll drown.
Lost and not found.
With all the weight of the world on our shoulders and our hands and feet bound.
Drowning in a river of our tears.
Held under by our deepest fears.
Try to relax and float.
Let your presence be known but peaceful.
Enjoy what you have and be grateful.
Remember the pain is only temporary and it makes the good days great.
Be vulnerable because it makes you strong,
And love so you don't have to hate.
Know that chains can always be broken, wall can always be torn down,
And life can always turn around.
You can go in any direction.
Take time for reflection.
We are all trapped in this house of mirror, and we don't like what we see.
It's not meant to be taken..so seriously.
We forgot how beautiful we are, but we are.
We don't have to travel to find it; it's inside us not that far.
Look beyond the surface, dive in.
Push you way through the waves.
Learn to swim.
