The Ringmaster

Before the crowds entered in,
Before the lights would uncover the stage
The Ringmaster would stand and gaze.

Such a wonderful sight as they would bring in the clowns
Their colourful bicycles circling round and round.

Balloons and costumes,streamers and bells
Laughter and those childish yells.

The strongest man and the playful dwarfs
Knife throwers and fire eaters,
You couldn't ask for more.

Trapeze acts and flying wheels
Dancing parades and men of steel.

Sword swallowers and trampolenes
Swings and comic scenes.

The Ringmaster would proudly stroll in,
Before the lights would darken the stage
He would stand and gaze.
