The Right Key
The other day
You did
pull those curtains back
ever so gently
as you exposed me to the light
With your opening of windows
I could breathe again
The air
rushing in
I looked at you
and a tear jumped
from the corner of my eye
I knew your love
was never a lie
For you’re the only one
that has found the right key
That key
engages the happy me
