The Right Button

THE RIGHT BUTTON

Fifty nine summers and counting
I will continue my hike in the wilderness
Of life’s uncertainties.

I want to be sure I press the right button
Selections are confusing, complicated
But, I want to press the right button this time:

The button of love and understanding
The button of giving and caring
The button of intellect and wisdom
The button of faith and hope
The button of zest and laughter
The button of goodwill and harmony
The button of forgiveness.

And the enchanting button:
The button of no return!
For yesterday was gone, today is here and tomorrow is inevitable.

Inventive and expressive write. Life, and the choices we have to make along the way, can be confusing. We all need to try to find the right buttons to press! Regards, Robert.
