The Riddle Is Failing

The riddle is failing
And the rocking wars are laughing
The night away in bits of sweat
And dreams of sex do not placate
The screaming vision of sun

The moon is reeking
Mother-lust in death’s guilt
Not to pay the noiseless sum
Of numbers floating prophecy
In the eye of smoke and storms

Faith slices a solution
In the veins of deaf priests
Who know the visions of Angels
Dipped in black wings
To know what blood pangs for

Babes and nations cry deceit
In crystal coffins lined with lye
-S burning throats selling secrets
Who know the vultures’ circling cry
Bathed in kingdoms pressed to sigh

The eagle hunts too high to fall
Down in the Gods’ endless scream
The raven whispers in the shadow’s beak
Perched in eyes dissolving science
As a prayer awaits broken silence…

This is a hard one for me. I am not good with unusual imagery but I sure enjoyed the read and it all seems to spell calamity for me!
