The Revelation of Election
In the early days as a believer
as I dug deeper into holy writ
God spoke in power of His truth
showing the scriptures does all fit
This God revealed I was chosen
way before He had started creation
in His eternal plan devised in eternity
His perfect love produces free justification
What joy this brought to my heart
to know God had done this for me
then to read of my nasty enemy
Satan was a defeated foe you’ll see
As my Lord had him held in chains
for he could only do as God did allow
thus God is in charge of all things
so I can rest truly in this now
So these great truths came home
filling me joyfully glad ecstatically so
this joy of the spirit’s fullness
bowing to His presence I shall go
