The Reunion

Excitement, anticipation and just a little fear.
As the day of the reunion slowly draws near.
It is nigh on thirty years since my hometown I left.
Family losses and change leaving me bereft.
The company we worked for turned out to be the best.
And we all started out on our lifetime quest.
Marriages and homes one day would come.
As the weekends approached all we wanted was fun.
Great friendships were forged in these times gone by.
We laughed, we fought and sometimes we cried.
The day finally dawned when we met once more.
And there was laughter, tears and fun days like before.
