The Relevance of Time

Passes quickly doesn't
it, friends?
   Seems like a wind
that blows cold for
  a brief time
     then dies down
Little time to change
      course
Little time to overcome
      wounds left by
  mistakes
We need the healing touch
     of cool rain
Then, refreshed, we can
continue on our journey
          Let's take heart
from the pulse of the city
            We can learn from
the movements of the broad
masses of people
     Yes, there is still
hatred, violence and war
       But while the breath
is within us
     We can move
with the rhythms of
    humanity
     Face the future
with a fierce, bright determination
   and let the
     angry ghosts of despair
     pass by
