The Refraction of Your Gaze

The Refraction of Your Gaze The prism of your Rejection is held before me colors, breaking apart to pierce my heart with their meaning, entering, becoming: the Violet of Penitence though I seek not forgiveness the Blue of Piety and Sadness the one color true the Green of Faith and Envy my eternal hope and your selfish desire the Yellow of Jealousy and Fear which neither of us may ever erase the Orange of Fruitfulness wherein Love once grew, fragrant and sweet the Red of Martyrs and Anger death of the innocent, whose blood-color is as rage projected from the Black Void of your false Spirit, I am pierced as you gaze beyond me, as though I were a weak and fading spectrum already dead already powdered nothingness Why must you see me through these colors when I looked upon you with the clear light of Love?
