The rain was falling quietly
as we were walking hand in hand;
beneath a red umbrella, we
had stopped to pause and closely stand.
Inside this dome of red so snug,
my world was sunny and so grand.
As arms wrapped 'round me in a hug,
my heart soon raced beyond command.
Beyond this space where now love grows,
the world outside is empty, gray;
within the fog the streets disclose...
this place is just for us this day.
The magic, red umbrella hid
our first true kiss, so soft and sweet.
Two hearts aflame beneath its lid,
I hoped forever, they would beat
inside this dome of red so snug
where life stays sunny and so grand,
with arms wrapped 'round me in a hug...
always together, we would stand.
