in the darkness, voices cry
earth aches but no oath is sworn
rivers of human souls deny
until red sky in earth's early morn
we need a voice who will sing

a harmony to make alarms ring

nature's blight still in advance
Sapiens fight for their redress
a delighted reaper performs his dance
and nothing left in the nuclear mess

just you and me left in this nightmare
the others left before tomorrow
too late to voice that they care
