The reason for the season
Jasper thought this Christmas
he was getting a promotion
because of his hard work
and company devotion
but that's not what happened
he was surely surprised
when his boss demoted him
because the company downsized
disappointed, hurt, angry and frustrated
he went to sit on a park bench and by a homeless woman, he became spiritually invigorated
she told him to look at all the positive in his life
tis the season to be jolly
and celebrate the joy of Christ
you still have a job.
you're not homeless like me
listen to the Angels and reflect on your destiny
the reason for the season
unto us a child was born.
Emmanuel was His name
the Lord our God's Holy spawn
He was the Lamb of God
for the Spirit is with us now.
Jesus of Nazareth,
a king who wore no crown
so go tell it on the mountain
shout it from everywhere
Jesus the Christ was born
yes, the power of God is now here
He is our Messiah sent to redeem us from our sins. so come let us adore him again again and again.
now Jasper took a moment
to do some serious self-reflection
he realized that when it comes to him,
God will always provide protection
for He is our peace. God is our joy
and yes, life has a way to come in and destroy
all that we think is important to us
but nothing is more essential than Christ Jesus
The reason for the season
we need to understand
that God sent us a savior
Jesus, the Son of Man,
the Alpha, the Omega
He is the bread of life
the Light of the world, the Son of God
Jesus the Christ
so give God the glory for all that he has done
the reason for the season
He gave us His only begotten Son
