The Real Me: Why (Final Part In the "evernightly" Series)

surrounded by wood with the
rising sun poking through holes,
a cold chill wraps around
me like a chilling quilt,
i see around myself,
the crimson roses begin to wilt,
i search for my prince,
he has not returned,
i search...and search.....
i waited two years to fall in love,
what does what i am doing mean?
my searching......
i was always told i resemble
a raven.....not a dove......
raven's flap their wings
and spread dark all over,
yeah....that's me..i was told.....
Raven's don't fall in love....we take it....
is that what i am? a raven?
not light, but an all consuming dark......
am i evil?
such a thought will never be taken lightly,
why, oh why, was i ever named....
Ever-nightly?
