the real me

she said I was bright; I am way beyond that.
he said I have a good imagination; my muse lives in a bigger galaxy.
I move on, for they are not my tribe.

My tribe laughs at my silliness.
We slip and slide around issues that would embarrass others
They treat me like a cherished pet, a mascot, I am the baby of my group.

I no longer play with people who do not know the real me.
Do not waste time exchanging unpleasantries with negative nellies.
Even if they are my own family.

I deserve happy days.
Joyful conversations
I stick with my found family,
humans who know me and treat me as the wonderful, spectacular me I am.
