The Rainy Day

God's rain comes steadily,
Like a reminder to stay at home,
As a senior rain can be hazardous,
Good weather comes and the rain falls,
I stay at home and gaze through my window,
Leaving my friends far away,
I will miss them and my conversations with them,
Waiting for the sun to shine and the clouds to roll away,
Snuggle up warm and pass the time,
Read or knit. alone with my good memories,
A rainy day where the last of the snow melts,
Spring finally arrives, waiting for the blossoms of the bushes and trees,
God's blessing for another year.
