The Raindrop

With lots of aspirations and hopes,
the nascent drop left its abode.
Little nervous yet with glee and swagger,
impulsively routed downwards.

The frisson of excitement swept over, as she knows,
an Oyster is waiting passionately for sure,
to turn her into an elegant pearl,
and certainly, boost her worth.

Suddenly a thought hit her mind,
that compelled her to linger at the side,
questioning herself, how can I be so self-centered?
I cannot afford this; I am here for mankind.

Waited for the sun rays to pierce its core,
the geometry of the drop got altered
The elliptical drop changed into a colorful arc
people enthralled to see the dazzling sight!

The sacrifice conveyed a lesson,
do something worth to be remembered.
Spread happiness and kindness,
Even though for a friction of moment!
