The Rainbow's End

Everyone searches for the rainbow's end,
hoping to find the sunshine glow of gold.
But the happiness it gives is hollow,
an illusion impossible to hold.
This arch of melting color
paints the imagination with a fairy's hope.
Human eyes are soon enchanted
by this heavenly blessing of colored rope.
This majestic bow graces the tear blossom sky,
a symbol for the dreamers of today.
This woven blanket of heaven's light
sews hues along man's highway.
The rainbow's end holds no kettle of gold,
for the end lies beyond human sight.
But this unique glow gives birth to dreams,
bathing the damaged soul within heaven's fabled light.
