The Rain and the Void

The rain falls gently past my face
Not touching though, to my disgrace

The cleansing rain, that from head to toes
Creates placid sweet peace, anyway it goes

Had abandoned my skin, my flesh it avoids
As silently drifting I fall through the void

I like this poem . Well done.I enjoyed this poem.Nice rhyme.Rainy days make me sleepy as well. I call that liquid sunshine for the grass trees, and vegetable garden.

It's funny, I actually set an alarm to wake up at 2 am and write a short poem or anything that rhymes, to see what my just woken up brain would create. By morning I had forgotten whatever I had written, and was pleasantly surprised to see the first and last stanza
