The rain

The rain is such a simple thing. It does not ask, it does not want; it just is. The rain, the bringer of great pain and simple joy, does so without thought or care. It is what it is. The rain shapes everyone's life for better or worse, whether it affects plans made or days to stay inside. It does so without regard for you or your plans. It does not judge, nor does it conspire, for the rain does as it pleases. While the rain may seem simple to you, to others it may bring pain.

The rain is its own thing. It does not care, nor does it want. It cannot hate nor love, and while it makes itself known to many of us for better or worse, it will always come again. Night or day, it will be there.
