The Radio I Love

oh my wonderful radio
that when i turn on blasts our colors
bigger then the rain bow that came after the storm
with your words crisper then a fresh apple
but also when i turn you on you give me a steady heartbeat
you have the emotions of a teenage girl
but the mind of a teenage boy
with your pace some times slower then a slow steady stream
but beats faster then a race horse
then the boring classes you call commercials arise
oh radio you are the light of my life
you have a personality of dances never really the same
but the inspiration brings you pain
with songs of the past bringing up pictured memories
you are the warm summer light
the dance down by the river
you are my wonderful radio

Really enjoyed your write I can relate to it totally - I put on the radio followed by the kettle - have to have it on from the moment I get up :-) Hugs Jan xx
