The Rabbit Hole

Watching as the world falls to pieces
Knowing the future could be just as bleak
Thinking of all we've already had to give
Can you promise to be there if it all breaks?
Do you swear to have my back when I finally fall
Down the rabbit holes life puts in my path?
Will you pick me up and hold me close
As I pick and choose my way back?
Can we look each other in the eye
Forever, and make the future our truth?
Can we clasp our hands tight and make the world
Disappear until there's only good?
Together out of the rabbit hole we'll climb
And climb ever towards our goal
Until good is all there ever was behind us
For memories and good is all there is in the future
Love will truly conquer all
Because with you love is all I need.
