The Questions of a Doubter

The Questions of a Doubter by Kenny Davis

Lord, do I have what it takes
To sow a single seed
If I am too comfortable to follow
Do I have what it takes to lead

Lord, can I deal with the things,
I feel come upon me too soon
Do I have what it takes to get through the morning
Only to make to an afternoon

Lord, do I have it in me
To forgive the habitual liar
Does my soul have what it takes to leave the ground
In order to be elevated higher

Lord, am I to endure so much
Only to gain what little I need
Lord, is my soul really built to take all of this
In order for me to be who you need me to be

Lord, how much longer
Must I endure the hurt
Tell me is it really all worth it
For me to inherit the earth

Lord, what do you see in me
That you trust I will endure
Lord, is going through all of this
Truly needed for me to mature

Lord, just looking for understanding
And a mere moment to vent
Allow me to wait patiently
For all of my answers to be sent

Thank you lord for
Putting my troubled mind at ease
Thanks you for listening
From me, your child on his knees
