~The Quatern~ 
 (Quatern)


 Quatern is fine French form to write 
 Do it in 4 lines,total of 16
 Similar to the Kyrielle
 And the French Retourne forms you see.

 It has refrain,in each quatrain
 Quatern is fine French form to write 
 All written in 4 quatrains too
 Quaterns done in 8 syllables.

 First line of stanza one is line 2
 In quatrain 2,line third of next
 Quatern is fine French form to write
 Just like this example done here

 And last but not least is refrain
 Placed in line fourth of last quatrain
 No Iambs,doesn't have to rhyme.It's easy!
 Quatern is fine French form to write.
