The Puzzle
As the sun sets it paints colors across the sky
Time marches on and another day goes by
I look in amazement and then wonder why
Only to realize it’s much larger than I.
My life seems like a puzzle scattered on the floor
Some pieces are missing which ones I’m not sure
Today I found some pieces I thought I had lost
When you don’t pay attention you don’t see the cost.
You only see the pieces when you really look
Some pieces do belong while others I mistook
But when all of the pieces join in together
I float through the breeze as though I was a feather.
I sit by the water it becomes a looking glass to me
Mirror images of all the things that I see
The light shines down and sparkles with delight
It reminds me of how stars twinkle in the dark of the night.
I see a reflection of the sky so blue and so vast
As a cloud passes by the shadow it casts
I see ripple travel across and then hit he shore
My imagination climbs as my spirit does soar.
The ripples are like my dreams that stay in the pond
But when I reach out to people they travel beyond
They are also like change as they differ in size
The ripples are many things in disguise...
A peace grows within though it’s time to go
The more I see the more I don’t know
The more that I hope the more faith shall grow
The puzzle inside reveals what I’ve been shown.
